Griffin O’Neil ’21 didn’t just lead the Dartmouth Men’s Lacrosse team to its best season in nearly 20 years—he did it by living out a lesson he first learned on the fields of New Hampshire: “Cut corners now, and you’ll cut corners the rest of your life.” From the bottom of the depth chart to team captain, Griffin’s journey is one of grit, leadership, and the power of doing the little things right.

This Spring, thirteen former Bulls competed in the NCAA Lacrosse tournaments. Representing twelve schools, they amassed an impressive 15 combined NCAA tournament wins and 3 conference championships. These athletes shared the highlights of their seasons, what made their team successful, and what they’ve learned as college athletes as they reflected on the year.

In the spring of 2024, Director of Snow Sports Ben Drummond asked Athletic Trainer Caroline Davenport if she would like to spend two weeks in Colorado with the Eastern Alpine teams. She responded, “Like on the mountain?” He laughed and said, “Yes, Dav. On the mountain. As an AT.”
The next thing she knew, she was on a plane heading to Copper Mountain with 25 Eastern Alpine Skiers.

An Army ROTC Scholarship recipient, Cum Laude Society member, Conor History Medal winner, Joseph M. Massik English Prize winner, and Coaches’ Award winner, Gina Mulcahy ’25 accomplished a lot in her four years at Holderness. This winter, she added to her long list of accolades when she earned the title of 2025 USASA Nationals 17-18 Junior Women Slopestyle National Champion.

Scott King '10 Reflects on Coaching Philosophy After Being Named 2025 NBA G League Coach of the Year
“I'm not in this position to grow as a coach if I didn't spend those two years at Holderness,” Austin Spurs Head Coach Scott King ’10 said as he reflected on his first season in charge of the San Antonio Spurs’ NBA G League affiliate.
