    2021 - 2022
    Head Coach: Richard Eccleston

The mission of the Holderness School football program is to foster a love for the game and for the strategic planning it takes to win. Our players are drilled in the safest possible techniques, and contact drills are strictly monitored. Games are played with a high level of intensity and with respect for opponents and officials.

The members of the football team are not only dedicated to football, they are also world-class skiers, college-bound hockey players, nationally recruited basketball players, and Division I and III lacrosse players. In other words, playing multiple sports is seen as an advantage not a weakness. We expect our players to be vital members of other varsity teams and great citizens in our community.

  • Bulls finish the season with a W

The Bulls made the long trek to Katonah, NY on Saturday. The long trip did not seem to matter. The Bulls scored on the second play of the game with a 50 yard run by Chase Picard. On Harvey's first offensive play DE Jamir Harvey tip a pass to himself and returned it to Harvey's 1-yard line. Hans Huber punched it in to make it 16-0 within the first 3-minutes of the game. Harvey went three and out on their next possession and it only took the Bulls 3 plays to score on a nice run by Hans Huber. The offensive line  (Jamir Harvey, Matt Stiles, Ryan Keene, Mac Bowen, Mac O "Neil) made huge holes all day long.  Andrew Stodden got his first career start at QB and was 2-2 on the day. Stodden connected with Jamir Harvey on a long TD pass. The final touchdown was scored by Chase Picard on a 40-yard rush.
The defense played tough not allowing Harvey a first down on any of their offensive possessions.
Unfortunately, The game was called with a minute left in the first quarter due to severe thunder and lighting. It was an impressive showing for a team that had a four-hour bus ride. Great mental toughness by the team.  The Bulls are looking forward to the 2022-23 campaign. Go Bulls!

The offense was led by the offensive line of Mac O'Neil, Ryan Keene, Matt Stiles, Mac Bowen, and Finn O'Hara making huge holes all day long. The Bulls had the ground game working rushing for 379 yards. Led by Hans Huber 15/128/2 TD's, Chase Picard 6/100/ TD, Alex McNabb 4/60/TD, Jack Parker 6/61/TD, and Garret Deady 5/30. Quarterback Jack Parker looked calm under center completing 3/6 passes including a long play for 25 yards to Finn O'Hara. Another great team performance by the Bulls. The Bulls have a big task in front of them this week as they travel to Millbrook, NY and take on the Mustangs 2-0. Go Bulls!
