Student-Artists Win Big This Fall!
Marylena Sevigney

Holderness art students got a tsunami of recognition from the Scholastic Art Awards of New Hampshire and the 15th Annual High School Exhibition at AVA.  Three students, Vere Meyer, Dianne Fu, and Max Riccio-Perez, receive Gold Keys from the Scholastic Arts Awards. Out of 2000 art works submitted, Gold Key Awards are among the top juried works. And one of them, Vere, was nominated among the top five for an American Vision Award! She will receive a $100 gift card from SAANH at the February 5th ceremony. In March, her piece will compete at the national level for the American Vision Award for NH and the winner will receive an additional $100 from the national program.

The Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition will be at Pinkerton Academy January 21-February 4

Additionally, 10 students are showing work at AVA's 15th Annual High School Exhibition. They are: Anika LaRoche, Stella Regan, Fine Windhagen, Vere Meyer, Maeve Rhatigan, Clara Peschel, Martha Yam, Henry Hood, Isabelle Johnson, and Jade Wiggins. The opening reception and awards ceremony is on Friday, January 20th from 5-7pm, and is up until February 10th.

Congratulations to all of the winners!!
