Holderness Dedicates the Davis Cross Country Ski Trails
Greg Kwasnik

On January 19, the Holderness School community gathered to dedicate the Davis Cross Country Ski Trails, a network of snowmaking-equipped Nordic racing loops that have establish the school as one of the best places to train and race in New England.

Completed in the fall of 2022, the ambitious project added 5km of homologated, FIS-certified racing trails - and 3km of snowmaking - to the school’s existing cross country trail network. The snowmaking system follows the new 2.5km competition loop, which includes a newly-lighted 1.5km section. Since these trails adhere to international standards of course design, Holderness can now host larger local, regional, and even national competitions.

The new trails were made possible through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew A. Davis P ’18 and The Shelby Cullom Davis Charitable Fun
