New York Times-bestselling author and political reporter Gabriel Sherman ’97 will speak at Holderness School’s 144th Commencement on May 27, 2023.
Mr. Sherman is a special correspondent for Vanity Fair who covers the intersection of media and politics, with particular interest in documenting how large, complex institutions work. He is the author of the 2014 New York Times bestseller The Loudest Voice in the Room, which chronicles the rise of Fox News and its chairman and CEO Roger Ailes. Mr. Sherman has also served as national affairs editor at New York magazine and is a regular contributor to NBC News and MSNBC.
I’m thrilled and honored to speak to the graduating seniors at Commencement this year,” Mr. Sherman said. “It’s already brought back a lot of memories of my time at Holderness, not to mention reminded me it’s been decades since I graduated!”
The entire Holderness community is eager to welcome Mr. Sherman back to campus.

Holderness School’s 144th Commencement will take place at 11 a.m. on Livermore Commons on May 27.
