Colin Rodgers '99 Wins Multiple Prestigious Coaching Awards

Colin Rodgers '99, has been the Nordic Director and Head Coach of Green Mountain Valley School since 2016 and has immensely impacted the development of their program and athletes. Under Colin’s leadership, the GMVS program has blossomed into one of the best cross-country development academies in the U.S. 

Colin also coached the U.S. U18 team at the Scandinavian Championships this season where for the first time in history the American athletes won Gold, not once but twice! This winter he will be headed to the Youth Olympic Games in South Korea to help coach the top 3 male and female skiers from the U.S. Team. We wish the team and Colin luck in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Colin is known for his exceptional talent and passion for skiing and has recently been recognized for his outstanding coaching achievements. His dedication and leadership have earned him and the GMVS programs prestigious accolades, including:

  • 2023 International Coach of the Year Award from the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA). 
  • 2023 Coach of the Year Award (USSA)
  • 2023 Development Club of the Year Award - Green Mountain Valley School (USSA)
  • 2023 Club of the Year from the New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA)
  • Nomination to the National Nordic Foundation Board of Directors
