Athletes of the Month | May 2025
Holderness School

Each week we recognize our student-athletes for their athletic accomplishments. This month we recognize five athletes and one team.

Max Carter '27
Team: Boys Junior Varsity Lacrosse

Max had a record-setting week as an attackman. In the team's two victories, Max recorded a total of ten goals. This brings his season total up to a team-leading 25 goals.

Cooper Duggan '27
Team: Cycling

Cooper has won the C division for the last two circuit races for the cycling team. Not only did she win, but she pulled off the front right away, almost caught the A group and did most of the work the entire race in order to hold off the pack of C girls. Cooper makes us laugh everyday and comes to practice with a positive attitude and ready to work.

Oliver Agonul '27
Team: Skateboarding

Ollie did an ollie! Ollie is a standout skater and great teammate, as he displays kindness, great enthusiasm and patience when trying to land a new trick.

Beckett Lehr '27
Team: Boys Junior Varsity Lacrosse

Beckett, a 10th grader from Gilford, NH, has been the Boys' JV Lacrosse team's face-off person all season. He is a wizard at winning faceoffs and picking up ground-balls, and after four wins these past two weeks, Beckett has scooped up 60 GBs, he now has amassed a total of 127 on the year!

Varsity Golf

Holderness’ Golf Team completed their season by winning the Lakes Region Championship! The boys in blue went undefeated in Lakes Region play all season. Check out these impressive scores: Ryan Plunkett 75, Mark Bierwirth 76, Henry Prowse 77, Graham Newton 78.

Ashley Bergeron '25
Team: Varsity Softball

Ashley has been a steady force all season, but she truly rose to the occasion in the final week. On the mound, Ashley dominated, getting ahead in counts and freezing batters with her accuracy. She capped off her Holderness Softball career in shining fashion during her Senior Game against Proctor, blasting two home runs, which drove in all three of our runs.
