The Holderness varsity field hockey team has found success through its participation in the New England Prep School Athletic Council. A perennial contender for the NEPSAC Class C Championship, the Holderness squad plays a 17-game schedule against opponents in the Lakes Region and the Independent School League.
The field hockey program aspires to challenge every athlete to reach her full potential. Respect is fundemental to everything we do--for each other, for team captains, for coaches, for opponents, for officials, and for all the people who support our team. When a player commits to the varsity squad, she is committing to hard work and competitive play during every practice and every game.
The Bulls play on the Robert T. Lowe Field, a synthetic turf field that allows for perfect field conditions all fall, despite our northern New England climate. Alumni of the Holderness field hockey team have gone on to play in strong programs throughout the United States including Boston University, Dartmouth College, St. Lawrence University, University of Vermont, Bates College, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and UMASS Dartmouth.
