The Holderness girls’ varsity soccer team competes in the Lakes Region division of the New England Prep School Athletic Conference. Throughout our season, which stretches from early September to early November, we play a 17-game schedule against some of the top teams in New England and compete for a spot at the Class C Championships. Our program’s values of character and commitment are rooted in hard work, perseverance, and a tremendous competitive spirit. Our coaches are committed to developing collegiate-level soccer players and are extremely supportive of well-rounded athletes who want to pursue multiple sports. Recent alumni have gone on to play at Division I and Division III NCAA programs around the country.
Kelly Pope became the Girls’ Varsity Soccer head coach in 2013. A 2012 graduate of Bowdoin College, she played center back and captained the women’s soccer team her senior year. Later, she worked and coached for Soccer Without Borders, a non-profit organization based in Nicaragua. Coach Pope teaches Spanish and is also the assistant coach for girls varsity basketball at Holderness.
