• Hockey Girls Varsity

    2018 - 2019
    Head Coach: Nicole Bartlett

The girls’ varsity hockey program seeks to cultivate the team’s level of play, cohesiveness, and resilience and develop each player’s skills, knowledge and love of the game. We emphasize being coachable, working hard, and being competitive with and supportive of one’s teammates.

Practices are progressive and develop players’ skills and knowledge through repetition, multiple touches on the puck, and small games that simulate situational play. Off-ice programs complement the on-ice experience, as we have season-long strength and skills programs and frequent video analysis. Ultimately, our goal is not only for Holderness hockey players to be recruited to college hockey programs, but to know the games so well they become integral parts of their college teams.

Several Holderness student-athletes have gone on to play hockey at the NCAA level at schools including Colby, Bowdoin, Wesleyan University, Middlebury, Brown, Connecticut College, Williams, and Lake Forest.
