Holderness was able to sweep Brewster for the 2nd consecutive year earning a 5-2 win tonight at Pop Whalen Arena in Wolfeboro, NH. The Bulls went up 2-0 in the 1st off goals from Kevin Pitts and Jack Bayreuther 3 minutes apart. Pitts beat the Brewster goalie with a low hard shot to the glove side and Bayreuther scored his 1st career Bulls goal by using the Defenseman as a screen and whistling a shot off the crossbar and in to the blocker side. In the 2nd, Alex Wisnes put the Bulls up 3-0 with 6 minutes remaining in the period and Connor Androlewicz was steady in the net not giving Brewster a chance to get on the board heading into the 3rd. Isaiah Fox would extend the Bulls lead to 4-0 midway through the 3rd on the Powerplay with a quick release shot from the slot that beat the Brewster goalie through the five hole. Josh Bliss and Patrick Ault picked up assists on the play. Brewster would not go quietly into the night as they stormed a ferocious comeback effort and scored 2 quick goals late to make the game interesting at 4-2 before Greg McGunigle iced the game with an empty netter with under a minute to play. Holderness returns to action on Friday night vs. New Hampton.
