NMH shuts out Holderness 4-0

Alan Thompson
Holderness played one of their better periods of the season on Saturday afternoon in the 1st against NMH and took a 0-0 tie into the 1st intermission. They played great defensively and made good area passes and quick outlet passes in the neutral zone to create some chances and hold NMH at bay with limited chances. In the 2nd, the Bulls and NMH traded chances early, but NMH was able to get on the board first after they stopped a 4 v 2 rush by the Bulls and transitioned the puck quickly back up the ice leading to an odd man rush of their own where they banged home a rebound in front going up 1-0. They added a 2nd goal a few minutes later on the PP on a nice cross ice pass and finish that beat Alnahas to the glove side. The score remained 2-0 after 2 periods of play. In the 3rd, the Bulls could not create many chances offensively and NMH played great team defense leading to the shutout. NMH added two more goals in the 3rd period to win the game 4-0. Next up for the Bulls is NYA on Wednesday at home.
