Holderness had a much stronger effort against the always tough Choate Wild Boars on Sunday in Wallingford, CT. After battling to a scoreless tie after one period, the Wild Boars capitalized early in the second on a PP goal off a nice rush from Colgate recruit Jack Hoey. The Wild Boars would add two more in the 2nd period off of Bulls turnovers and would head into the locker room up 3-0. The Bulls showed a lot of character by not quitting and getting back in the game off a PP goal from Tim Manning, who roofed it just under the bar from the short side circle. Greg McGunigle and Isaiah Fox picked up assists on the play. The Bulls would draw within one off a shorthanded rush from Alex Gagnon making it 3-2 with just under 3 minutes to play. The Bulls had one last desperate attempt with the goalie pulled, but could not draw even. Connor Androlewicz played great in the loss picking up 33 saves in defeat. The Bulls will look to get back in the win column against league rival Brewster Academy on Wednesday.
