The Bulls made the jaunt to Hebron, ME today and earned a nice come-from-behind 1-1 tie.  It was a very evenly played match that saw the Holderness defense again play a solid game in front of goalies Alan Yu and Matt Butchma.  Mikey Cosgrave, Boss Ngamkanjanarat, Spencer Glascock, Jackson Lehner and Charlie Crumbo didn’t give the Hebron offense much maneuvering room all day.  With the exception of one miscue at the midway mark of the first half when a Hebron forward snuck one by Yu, the defense played its strongest game to date.

At the midfield, Finn Pilaro came off the injured list and made huge contributions to the team’s transition game.  Along with him, Charlie Morris played smart soccer and complemented the play of teammates Steve Ju, Henry Richard and Alberto Bazzonni.

To start the second half, Holderness dominated play in their offensive end.  Strikers Young Gwon, Max Alden and Ethan Hayes had numerous chances to get on the scoreboard, but the Hebron goalie was exceptional.  With twelve minutes left in the game, the Bulls were awarded a corner kick.  Cosgrave took the kick and lofted it perfectly into the Hebron box where Ju stepped to the ball and headed it cleanly into the back of the net for his first goal of the season.
The remainder of the game saw Hebron throw everything they had at the Bull’s defense, but Butchma and his teammates held firm and preserved the well-earned tie.

The team’s record is now 2-2-2.  They finally have a home game on Wednesday when they host the Proctor Academy Hornets at 2:00.
