Bulls Beat Huskies 3-1

The Bulls faced rival New Hampton on their home turf Wednesday afternoon scoring first, and maintaining a lead for the entire game!
The Bulls came out with strong offensive pushes for the first five minutes; New Hampton responded with strong offensive drives in response. The defensive unit--sophomore Olivia Branch (birthday girl), junior Drea Chin, senior Bridget Pope and senior goalie Kiely Smiga-McManus-- were a wall, earning several defensive saves, and goalie, Smiga-McManus, made an impressive fifteen saves throughout the game! The Bulls defense faced a strong offensive push from New Hampton in the second half with six corners. With nine minutes left to play, the Huskies tucked one goal away on a tip. Bulls goals were scored by junior, Morgan Sisson almost halfway through the first half, Andrea Reynolds off of a corner with 2 minutes left in the first half (assisted by Sisson). The third and final Bulls goal was scored by Reynolds after a passing sequence with Sisson up the field with 42 seconds left to play. The Bulls travel to Vermont Academy this Saturday for one of their last Lakes Region conference games.
