The Bulls found sudden victory quickly in their first OT of the season today!
The Bulls started with several offensive pushes down the right side of the field, distributing the ball well. Despite several shots on goal, the Bulls were unable to put up the first goal of the game. With 8 minutes left in the first half, Tilton netted their first goal. They found a second goal off a rebound from a great save by senior goalie, Kiely Smiga-McManus a few minutes later. With a minute left to play in the first half, senior captain, Lila Schibli tipped in a goal, assisted by sophomore Andrea Reynolds. The score was 2-1 at halftime. The Bulls entered the second half with composure and played with grit and confidence, tying the game with a team goal tipped in by Reynolds with 18 minutes left to play. The Bulls had another goal off a corner called back for being just outside the circle. Tilton scored their final goal of the game with 16 minutes left to play; a quick answer to the Holderness goal. With eight minutes left to play, Reynolds netted her second goal of the game. Despite strong offensive pressure, regular time ended with a tie score of 3-3. The Bulls made quick work of overtime. They started with the ball, made one offensive drive, quickly recovered and played solid defense on an offensive push by Tilton, and then made one final offensive push up the field to earn the win. In all, the Bulls found sudden victory in just under two minutes with some savvy stick skills by Reynolds. The Bulls look forward to playing KUA in their second home game of the season under the lights on Friday night!
