Bulls Overcome a Slow Start at Proctor

K. Berry
Despite a slow start, the Bulls offense found the back of the net five impressive times and the the defense worked hard to shut down a quick and able Proctor offense.
The Bulls traveled to Proctor to play the Hornets on Friday afternoon; the first half of the game they had a hard time clearing the ball out of the defensive zone with a strong defensive wall from Proctor. The Hornets scored first. This goal prompted an offensive push by the Bulls to find the back of the net two times by the end of the first half, and three more times in the second half. Senior Goalie Kiely Smiga-McManus led a strong defensive unit to a shut-out in the second-half despite strong Proctor offense, garnering eleven saves including a penalty stroke! Sophomore Andrea Reynolds scored three goals, junior Morgan Sisson scored one, and senior captain Lila Schibli scored the last. The Bulls were proud of how they made adjustments mid-game to shift the momentum of the game, and look forward to playing Tilton and KUA next week.
