Bulls Beat New Hampton in a Close Game

K. Berry
The Bulls found victory in a close match-up against New Hampton when Andrea Reynolds gave the Bulls their lead, scoring her second goal of the game with 1 minute left to play!
The Bulls worked hard on composure and ball movement on a very hot New Hampton turf this afternoon. The defense kept their cool under strong pressure from New Hampton, playing as a unit, and doubling quick New Hampton breakaways. Senior Captain Bridget Pope, and Juniors Darby Palisi and Drea Chin set the foundation for quick offensive breaks with their conscientious ball movement. Despite having many offensive opportunities, the score remained 0-0 at the half. New Hampton found the back of the net first, despite strong defensive play, ten minutes into the second half. Andrea Reynolds quickly answered the New Hampton goal moving up the field as a unit with the offensive line. After a timeout with 2 minutes left to play after a New Hampton offensive push, the Bulls were able to clear the ball out and Reynolds made a 60-yard drive with the ball finding a corner with only a minute left to play! New Hampton answered with their own offensive push. After the game, the Bulls had a pasta dinner together (see picture). The Bulls look forward to facing Proctor at the end of the week!
