Berwick Goalie Saves: 48
Besieged by illness and injury, a brave crew of nine skaters and a goalie traveled to Berwick for an afternoon tilt. Getting off the bus, goalie Sergio Yap informed the coaches the he had lost a contact lens and that he couldn’t play. Without hesitation, manager Quang Do volunteered to don the pads and step between the pipes. With Quang warmed up and the team divided into two lines and three defensemen, they battled Berwick to the best of their ability and more than made a game of it. Quang was awesome in the net, making 26 saves, while his Berwick counterpart played flawless hockey and turned away 47 shots. Line mates Nolan Sullivan, Finn Pilaro and Will Keating put together their share of good shots, while Wei Hao Cai, Shawn Kim and Alex Oliver hurtled over the boards to provide the second wave of attack. In the defensive end, it was Tom Hendricks, Matt Butchma and Charlie Crumbo tirelessly rotating on and off the ice.   They did a good job in front of Quang and periodically made exciting rushes up the ice to provide some of the better scoring opportunities of the day. The team will regroup on Saturday, hopefully with a few more skaters, and take on Proctor Academy at 1:30 p.m. on the PSU rink.
