Holderness and Tilton went back and forth in a chippy, physical game and the Rams were able to outlast the Bulls on the scoreboard 3-2. The Rams went up early 1-0 midway through the 1st on a nice finish from a streaking Tilton forward as he beat Androlewicz just under the bar to the glove side. The Bulls evened the score 1-1 late in the 1st off a nice short side finish from Tim Manning. Isaiah Fox picked up an assist on the play. In the second, the Bulls and Rams battled back and forth, but neither team could find an answer to beat the opposing teams goalie and they entered the locker room tied 1-1 after 2 periods of play. The Bulls did a good job killing off a 5 minute major penalty to give themselves a chance in the 3rd, and Alex Gagnon scored minutes later on a PP goal putting the Bulls up 2-1 with 13 minutes remaining in the 3rd period. Harley Michaels picked up an assist on the goal. The Rams then countered with 2 quick goals of their own off 2 shots that beat Androlewicz high to the blocker side on odd man rushes. The Bulls battled to tie the score at the end with 1 minute of 6 v 5 offensive pressure, but could not beat the Tilton goalie. Holderness will look to rebound Saturday afternoon at home vs Brooks at 3pm.
