For Parents

Winter Parents Weekend

We are looking forward to 2018 Winter Parents Weekend. See you on campus February 1-3.

Winter Parents Weekend is February 1-3.  You'll find all the information about the weekend and the schedule here. If you have any specific questions or concerns about the Winter Parents Weekend schedule, please contact Stacy Lopes at slopes@holderness.org.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the Pick-A-Time registration link.   A reminder from the email sent to parents on January 22 from Phil Peck: When you log on to Pick-A-Time to sign up for conferences, please sign up for TWO back-to-back 10-minute slots with your child’s advisor. Please choose ONE 10-minute slot for conferences with teachers of second-semester courses.

We will once again be holding a 50/50 raffle with all proceeds going to the Parents Association Fund. The PA Fund supports activities through the year that include faculty appreciation programs, Exam Bake, parents weekend activities and more.

New this year: you can name a faculty member to receive your 50/50 raffle winnings!  If you purchase the raffle ticket in person, please mark the faculty's name on your ticket. If you purchase your tickets online, there is a line on the form to put in the faculty member's name.

Click the yellow tile below to access the conferences scheduler

Note: Please coordinate with your spouse, co-parent, or guardians so that only one person schedules the meetings. This will allow each student and their family members or guardians to have one meeting time per teacher.

Register (new users)

  • Enter your email address and click "Login/Create Account." (Note: only one parent needs to create an account and sign-up for conferences for their child. Appointment reminders will be sent to the email address used during the sign-up process).
  • Fill in the required fields and register.
  • Please let us know if you will be attending any meals (do not include your Holderness student in this count).

Sign-in (returning users)

  • If you registered for academic conferences during Fall Parents Weekend, use the same username and password that you created at that time.

Identify Student

For each child, there are two required prompts. The first is a studentID which will be the student’s first full name + last name (e.g. BenjaminFranklin). The second is the student’s birth date and should be entered in the format mm/dd/yyyy (e.g. 01/17/1706).

Important Information to Know Prior to Scheduling

  • Please review the weekend schedule prior to (and during) the scheduling process. If your child has a game on Friday, avoid scheduling an appointment a half an hour prior to game time. On Saturday, avoid scheduling an appointment during grade level parent meetings.
  • Each colored square represents an available meeting time. The legend shows you which teacher corresponds to which color, and the times increase as you go down the page. (Note: you will not see all of the teachers, just the set of teachers that your child has for class).
  • Click on a square to book that time.
  • You should schedule a 20-minute session with your child's advisor first.  This is the primary focus of the weekend. To do this, you must click on 2 ten minute sessions back to back.
  • You are encouraged to schedule 10-minute sessions for any of your child's classes which began in the second semester.
  • You are free to schedule 10-minute sessions with any of your child's year-long classes.
  • College counselors (e.g. COLLEGE - B. Barton) have also been added to the system. Meeting with your child's college counselor is optional
  • If your child currently receives academic support through Knower Academics, it has also been added into the system. Meeting with Knower Academics is optional.
  • Click "Create Appointment."
  • The system allows each teacher one conference per child once per class.

Repeat until you have a time with each teacher.

  • At any time you can click on "printable schedule" and print the resulting web page to get a hard copy of your schedule. You will also have the option to email your schedule to yourself.
  • If you want to make changes to your schedule, you can log in at any time with the email address and password you used to create your account.
  • Click on “Your Schedule” to display and hide your appointments. There will be links to change the time or cancel the appointment.
Please Note: if you would like to make an appointment with a teacher that your child does not have a class with, please contact Bonni Acton, Registrar at bacton@holderness.org or (603) 779-5248.
