Our first-ever Virtual 5K was a great success! More than 350 runners helped us Run COVID out of Town from Holderness to London to Thailand and Sweden. Together we raised more than $5850 for Speare Memorial Hospital’s COVID-19 Fund.
Speare Memorial Hospital’s COVID-19 Fund goes directly to covering expenses related to:
Purchasing adequate Personal Protective Equipment (masks, face shields, isolation gowns, and gloves) for the safety of our medical staff, employees, and patients;
Preparing the hospital and the alternate care site at Plymouth State University ice arena for the expected increase in COVID-19 cases;
Covering unreimbursed medical care costs to treat COVID-19 patients;
Offsetting the loss in revenue from reducing non-emergency related medical services (elective surgeries, primary care services, etc.).
We are truly grateful for everyone’s support and participation and we want to recognize a few participants for their race-day spirit!
The Costume Award goes to The Flynn Family: David Flynn ‘96, Amy, Molly, Brady, and Anna.
The Pet Award goes to Grace Adams ‘24, her brother, Nate, and Vega, a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy.
The Community Spirit Award goes to the Gras Family - Evan Gras '24, Tyler Gras '23 and parents

While the upcoming school year’s cohort of new students won’t arrive at Holderness School until later this summer, they’re already connecting with current students and faculty through the school’s revamped Big Sibling Program - and the newly-created Summer Advisor Program.
