Holderness School’s athletic trainers provide prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses that Holderness students and visiting athletes may encounter. Our certified athletic trainers are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals. At Holderness the athletic training staff provides a bridge between Athletics and Health Services and works in conjunction with Health Services under the direction of the school physician.
To ensure the best possible care of a patient, the sports medicine staff may elect to refer a patient to another health care provider such as a physician or physical therapist.
Practices and home games at Holderness are covered by an athletic trainer. A physician is also present at home varsity football games.
