Members of the Holderness faculty are selected for their scholarship, skills, extracurricular interests, personal qualities, and dedication to young people. Through association with such people, students are encouraged to respect the values of learning, intellectual effort, character, and integrity.

There are 130 faculty and staff members at Holderness, including 46 teaching members. All of these people work with the students, as fellow members of a friendly community - in the classroom, the job program, athletics, weekend or evening activities, and in a variety of unstructured activities that grow out of mutual interest.
